Day 29 Part 2
Hey everyone, Sorry it has been so long since I last updated you all on Fletcher. We are still in the hospital and in the PICU, tomorrow will be day 30. UGH! Apparently Fletcher's heart and lung issues are very complicated. So, the doctors are trying to figure out the best way to treat him. Right now, they are using a beta blocker for his heart, it seems to be working well, though he hasn't had an echocardiogram in about 2 weeks. His lungs seem to be getting better also. Finding the perfect balance of medicine for the heart and lungs is going to be the key to keeping him healthy. Fletcher got off of the ventilator last Monday and the doctors have had him on a bipap machine which is ventilating him through his nose instead of a tube being down his throat. He has now been off of the bipap for more than 24 hours and is doing well. Please keep us in your prayers. We are all so tired and this stay in the hospital has been hard on all of us. The Lord has been so good to us and placed such wonderful people in our lives who are doing so much for our family. I haven't had to cooked dinner in two months! But, we would love to be able to enjoy our whole family under one roof. It means a lot to us to have you all to lean on right now, thanks for loving us! We would appreciate your prayers concerning the decisions we will have to make concerning Fletcher's care. We need wisdom and discernment that only comes from the Lord. Thank you all so much! Much love, Craig & Denise Denise Burns http://www.type40.com/family
