Off the Vent for A While
Hey everyone,
Just a quick update on 'the boy'! :) Well, he is still in Children's Hospital, the doctors took him off the ventilator last Tuesday and he didn't do well without it so they put him back on the vent Tuesday night with plans off taking him off again Sunday. Yesterday at 3:30 pm they took him off the vent and put him back on at 5:00pm! His lungs are still very sick and at this point the doctors are kind of scratching their heads! Yesterday the surgeon (Dr. Pastuszko) who did his surgery said, "Your son is torturing me!" and I said, "That's what he does to doctors!" :) We were hoping he'd be home for Thanksgiving, but that isn't likely to happen. We also don't want them to rush him either, because we don't want to end up back in the hospital. Fletcher seems to have his own schedule!:) His cardiologist (Dr. Ward) put it perfectly when he said, "There is no book for us to go by when it comes to Fletcher, he is writing his own book!" He said a mouthful when he said that! So, please pray for the doctors to have wisdom on how to treat his lungs. We have had lots of help the last two weeks with aunts and grandparents helping us take care of the girls so Craig and I can be with Fletcher as much as possible we are so grateful to have such a wonderful family and great friends helping us. We are truly blessed! We hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

PS - I am attaching a picture of our kids taken the Sunday before Fletcher went into the hospital. This is my most recent picture of them. I do not have any current pictures of Fletcher.
FYI - Fletcher now weighs 15 lbs 13 oz! And he has 4 teeth and a gap between the top two just like Maddie! Pretty cute!
