Story:

My Rating: 5.0 out of 5.0

Gasaraki follows Yushira Gowa, a captain in the Japanese self defense force, and fellow member of the powerful Gowa family, as he attempts to find his purpose in life and discover both his past and the history of his family. The story quickly turns to a deep mythos structure involving rituals to allow Yushira, a Kai, to pilot a powerful mecha called a Kugai, in attempt to aid his family in what appears to be its quest for power. The military, on the other hand is involved with increasing its defense capabilities in relation to its enemies, and primarily fight with Tactical Armors (the normal mechas common soldiers pilot). . And on the other side of things, you have this crazy right-winged political nut who refused to watch Japan fall from grace, so to speak, by giving in to avarice and giving up the honor it once had, so he took his own sword and cut out his eyes.

Animation:

My Rating: 5.0 out of 5.0

The animation was very nice, very modern.
