Story:

My Rating: 2.5 out of 5.0

I'm going to maintain my 2.5 rating until I get through the series, but as of now, wtf??? After 2 episodes, this makes absolutely no sense. To try to explain - Takkun is a 12 year old boy. His brother left to play baseball in America, and now his brother's girlfriend, Mamimi, who is 17 years old, hangs out with/ makes out with him. Things were all fine and dandy until the Vespa woman, Haruka, ran over him on her bike. Since then, a strange horn started growing from Takkun's head, and from that horn emerged a robot. Now Haruka serves as the family housekeeper, where she torments Takkun and plays her electric guitar or fights things by smacking them with her guitar...

Animation:

My Rating: 4.0 out of 5.0

In terms of animation, FLCL's quite nicely drawn. However, they intentionally make it difficult to follow occasionally, such as the one scene in the first episode where instead of animation, you followed what was going on in manga style black and white. Other times, the animation is so quick, it's really hard to tell what's going on. You only get bits and pieces, but I suppose that's how they want it.

Music:

My Rating: 4.5 out of 5.0

I actually like the music they picked throughout most of the anime. The music is a high point.

Character Design:

My Rating: 2.5 out of 5.0

Um, what character development? Again, since nothing makes sense and the characters are all screwed up, I don't think I can rate this fairly yet...
