Born Joseph Fuourka. He cause at Southwestern Lousiana in 1926 which later became the Louisina at Layfayette Rajin Cajuns. He then coached at Haynesvill High School from 1927 until 1935. He bacame the backfield coach ni 1936 to 1939 for Lousina Normal (later known as Northwastern State). He was the athletic directer at Louisiana Tech from 1940 to 1970.
