Buffy goes on a date with Principal Wood and they are attacked in an alley way.  When buffy sees him hold his own against a couple of vampires, questions arise.  He later tells her that he is the son of a Slayer and that he moved to Sunnydale to help in the fight against evil.  While at a hardware store, Xander sets up a date with a new woman he meets there.  As is par for Xander's luck, she turn out to be a demon who tries to use Xander's blood to re-open the hellmouth and release more Turok-Han.  Spike shows up at Buffy's date to tell her and Principal Wood about Xander.  They rescue him and Wood discovers that Spike is a vampire in the process.
