Saya awakens in the country house and begins to calm down just a little.  She goes with Kai fishing and relaxes before they head out to New York.  Red Shield, wondering about Amshel being a Chiropteran, witness an assassination attempt on him.  David and Joel attend a party at which Amshel attends, thus proving that he is indeed a Chiropteran.  Joel and Amshel meet and pass words between them.  Later, Saya and company depart the country house for their journey to New York.
